The air conditioning in my room was a nightmare! It wasn’t working on the first night, and there was no one at reception to help. I had to sleep with the door open and ended up feeling stuffy and uncomfortable all night.

the place was clean with an understanding and courteous staff who excelled customer service. comforts of impeccably clean and huge triple room with a great view were fabulous. central location of this low-budget hotel was a bonus. besides, i was next to a park and the bay.

The location was brilliant and exceptional: shopping streets and a market were within walking distance. My double room was big with at least a view in😀

The walls were paper thin, and we could hear everything—the music from the bar, footsteps, and even someone being sick nearby. Definitely not the peaceful retreat we hoped for. Super frustrating!

I stayed in freshly renovated and reasonably large room with a new fridge, comfortable bed plus kitchen as expected. A microwave oven, an electric kettle and a fridge were provided if needed. The location was favourable and stunning, at a moderate distance from Belmont Golf Course.

The location of Squid's Ink Motel on Lake Macquarie is fantastic, with easy access to nearby playgrounds, cafes, and beautiful landmarks like Belmont Lagoon and Blacksmiths Beach. the room needed significant maintenance, with old furniture and stained mattresses. Despite this, the staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcomed. The lovely outdoor areas provided a perfect setting for relaxation and family bonding.

the restaurant was great for breakfast, we ordered simple dishes.

the provided database was user-friendly, allowing me to easily find and book amenities that enhanced my experience.

I noticed the room had a slight odor, suggesting it could benefit from an air freshener that activates every half hour.

The location is super convenient, just a stone's throw from shops and amenities. Plus, the views from the private jetty are lovely. The bed was really comfy, and I loved the strong water pressure in the shower! The on-site restaurant has scrumptious food and good cocktails – definitely a highlight!

Our room faced a carpark instead of the picturesque lake view, which was a bit disappointing. there were some cleanliness issues like stains on the carpet, and we spotted a few little critters here and there. it’s a good spot, but just a heads-up about the room quality!

I had a good stay at squids ink motel, enjoying the stunning lake views from my room. The staff were friendly and eager to help, making my experience even better. My room was clean, and the beds were quite comfortable, allowing for a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the nearby local bar and restaurants, just a short walk away. the rustic charm of the place, combined with its beautiful lakeside location, made my visit nice and relaxing.

This place offers newly remodelled, clean rooms with outstandingly accommodating staff, along with a great location and on-site parking.

I thoroughly enjoyed my very pleasant stay here during the holidays. All of the staff members were extremely friendly and accommodating. the rooms have been recently renovated and the bathroom features good water pressure and a lovely view, making it feel like a home away from home. the motel's fantastic central location is a huge benefit, allowing easy access to a main shopping street and other shopping areas.

We liked having our blinds open in the rooms. The staff was friendly and offered us helpful service. 😊
